Initiation Program - Oro IP had a blast at Essa Tournament!!!
The Oro IP teams- both Red and White took part in a one day tournament in Angus on Sat. Jan. 14th. For many of the players, this was their first ever hockey tournament. Each team played two games and proved that they were top notch, well developed teams. The defence skills and goal-tending abilities were incredible! The offence skills that
every child demonstrated showed that they really put their full effort into the game.
Both teams played together as a team, cheered each other on and showed great sportsmanship towards the other teams.The kids had a blast getting to know their teammates both on and off the ice including a few games of mini-sticks, rockin' out to their favourite tunes at centre ice and chatting over a great pizza lunch. The IP teams enjoyed a fun game of "cops and robbers" with the coaches on the ice during a mid-day skills competition. I'm not sure who had more fun, but it was evident that the kids will remember this fun day for years to come!
