Stayner Tournament Champions!
Our boys competed in their second tounament of the year in Stayner on Jan.29 and faced the host team, stayner in the first game. Both teams came out fast and hard with lots of end to end action. Jackson and Alex each scored nice goals in the first period. The second period was scorless and despite their outstanding play they were down 3-2 heading into the third.

Both teams played exceptional hockey for the next ten minutes with Jackson scoring his second of the game to tie it and then Nick netting the go ahead goal. Everyone was working hard to protect the lead but with 7 seconds left in the game Stayner scored to tie it up.
Overtime started 4 on 4 and with everyone on the edge of their seat both teams were fighting hard. 30 seconds in Alex broke free and scored the game winner for a 4-3 victory. All this and it was only the first game. A special mention to Sullivan who played excellent in goal under alot of pressure!
The second game was against Coldwater #1. The boys came out and showed everyone they were just getting warmed up! 2 Goals came in the first, both from Sullivan. In the second we got 2 goals from Jackson and 1 from Xzavier. The third period ended up scoreless and despite a good effort from the kids on coldwater, we rolled to a 5-0 win. Congratulations to Braden who got a well deserved shut out.
Next was the championship game against Wasaga Beach #2. Our boys started fast with a goal from Sullivan just 30 seconds in and kept the pressure on all game. With alot of consistent hard work, team play from everyone, and solid goaltending from Devin, the game ended in a 9-2 victory. Our goals came from Sullivan and Jackson, who both netted hatricks, and singles from Nick, Alex and Keon. Great game guys.
Congratulations on putting in the hard work and becoming champions. We're all extremely proud of you guys. A big thanks to the coaches as well for a job well done and keeping it fun for the kids!
