Rust Never Sleeps
Oro was at home for their first game vs Shelburne this afternoon and although a little rusty, came away with a 10-2 win.

It was a long break since our last game and not surprising that Oro started a bit sloppily to begin our final push to the finals.
Shelburne was a strong forechecking team with very good defense and it seemed to put us off balance initially.
But once we shook off the rust, this team would not be deterred.
Fletch started us off on a gorgeous 2-0 pass to Cappy who converted the sharp one timer for the lead, who later reversed roles to do similar.
Bo was rushing the puck with confidence early and found a marker mid first followed by Aidan who deked the d and went backhand to lift us to the early 3-0 lead.
Shelburne had some chances and Owen flashed a fabulous glove on a hard shot to keep the advantage
We had a tendency in this game to try and go coast to coast which created turnovers, but the D was there numerous times to bail us out. Colt had another solid game anchoring the defensive end and was always there to pick up rushers on turnovers...another great game Colt 45!
We had many opportunities from the point in this game and the D were quick to get shots on goal or push the puck deep for retrieval ..Ty had several point blasts just miss, but the second period saw goals scored as a result of tight point possession and pinches. Mark had a nifty one touch deflection/shot that found the twine because of such control...excellent positioning, awareness and hands on that goal Mighty One. Bo from Aidan who had three assists on the day and solid backchecking to end the second and the 6-0 lead
Fast Eddie let a rocket go early third from high left slot that soared over Shelburne's goalie and there was no looking back. Wicked blast Edward...you have a cannon!
Fletch took his first real look at center to start the third (his natural position) and after some adjustments, found his groove nailing a natural hatty. Awesome work and we cant go wrong no matter where you play young man.
Shelburne scored on a deflection and nice shot and Big O had little chance on either...solid stops and play throughout Owen.
So,it seems odd to critique a 10-2 win, but we know this team can perform even better, and will have to  vs the toughest team in our league early Sunday
Rust never sleeps, but lets shake it off and rock and roll tomorrow
