It was a beautiful Friday night in Shelburne as our Midget LL2 team travelled to Shelburne to take on the Wolves. The Game got off to a good start as Devon Neal opened the scoring with a nice wrist shot in tight to give Oro a 1-0 lead, it didn't last long as Shelburne answered right back to tie it a 1 a piece. As the period went along Oro kept pushing into the attacking zone and finally got one past the Shelburne net minder as Daniel Greenhalgh shot one in to make it 2-1, but once again Shelburne had an answer as they quickly tied it up at 2. In the Second period it was a back and fourth pace for most of the period with each team trading quality chances but couldn't cash in.
Shelburne got 1 late in the period to make it a 3-2 game. Heading into the 3rd period our Boys started to show the effects of having a short bench that night. and Shelburne took that opportunity and scored 2 more goals to end up with the 5-2 victory over our Thunder. Great team game by everyone involved, Trent played great in goal saving us a few times with great stops. Defense played great for what we had and our forwards were phenomenal for the effort they showed that night! Next game action was Saturday in Wasaga Beach!
