Tryout Information
Tryout Process for other Centres:

Permission to Skate (PTS) & Non-Resident Passport (NRP) for AAA/AA/A Centres

The closest centres in which Oro players are eligible to play at are:

“AAA” in North Central Predators. You will need a Permission to Skate form.

“AA” in Barrie (Colts). You will need a Non-Resident Passport (NRP)

“A” in Orillia (Terriers) & Innisfil (WinterHawks). You will need a Non-Resident Passport (NRP) 


Step One:

All players who wish to attend tryouts for either the North Central Predators AAA or a AA or A team must register with your home centre firstPayment does not need to be completed - your registration doesIf your child is selected to play for a AAA, AA or A centre your registration will be transferred to that centre.

***Late fees will not be applied to players attending fall tryouts***
(For players who attend fall tryouts and return to Oro, please do not apply the late fee when registering)


Step Two
:

Get the appropriate form/forms.

Step Three:

Attend the tryout and bring the appropriate form (PTS or NRP).

Novice and Atom aged players have one option of where they are eligible to tryout. They can ONLY tryout at the AAA level of hockey (North Central Predators). These players may ONLY request a Permission to Skate form to tryout for the AAA centre (North Central Predators).

Minor Peewee and above aged players may have three options of where they are eligible to tryout.

For AA Centre OR A Centre

  • The NRP can only be used once. You can only tryout for 1 team: either AA OR A centres.

  • The OMHA will only issue 1 NRP per player, per year.

  • If your child is not selected to play for the AA Centre, you CAN NOT request another NRP form to then tryout for an A centre.


Therefore, Minor Peewee and above players have three options.

Remember, the Non-Resident Passport can only be used ONCE at a AA centre or at a A centre.

All requests should be emailed to Oro Rep Convenor, Andrew Harper: [email protected]   The email MUST include the name of player, home address, date of birth. Please indicate which form(s) you are requesting and which team(s) you are trying out for.  If you are requesting an NRP you need to indicate “AA” or “A”.


Requests will processed within 48hrs with a response for scheduled pick up time and location.
