Hockey Equipment Donations Needed


One of our Oro Thunder parents, Heather Williams, has taken on the task of making the lives of kids of Garden River Reserve a little brighter this year.  Located in a remote area close to Sault Ste. Marie.  The reserve is registered with Social Services and is in need of life’s essentials.

We would like to help children on the reserve enjoy the great game of hockey!  Equipment donations of all youth sizes are welcome; skates, shin pads, hockey pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, sticks and goalie equipment. 

Warm clothes are in desperate need.  We will be collecting jackets, hats, boots, gloves and scarfs.

A shipping company has generously donated the truck that will take it all to them and social services has a sorting facility that will distribute the equipment.
