Key Information for 2023/2024 Season
Hello Hockey Families,

I hope everyone is having a great summer! It is hard to believe we are at the midway point of August already. With summer winding down, the Oro Minor Hockey Executive has been busy working in the background to prepare for the upcoming season.

As a reminder, the website is your best resource to stay up to date.

Below is a recap of some key information to start the season:

Oro Thunder Jack McCullough Memorial Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday September 9th at Settler’s Ghost Golf Club. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with other members of the association and kick off the start of hockey. Check the website for registration details or follow the link: Oro Thunder Golf Tournament

Oro World’s Fair is taking place September 15th and 16th. Connect with other members of the community and celebrate everything Oro has to offer. Stay tuned for more details…

An Open skate for every division will take place on Sunday September 10th. This marks our first day back on the ice. Take advantage of the opportunity to get back on the ice and shake the rust off! A detailed schedule will be posted on the organization calendar in the coming days. The calendar can be accessed directly from the website or by using the following link: Organization Calendar

Development ice times will be offered for all divisions during the first couple of weeks of the season. Again check your email and the Organization Calendar for details.

Tryouts are tentatively planned for the weekend of September 22nd. Registration for tryouts will be posted on the website soon.

Referee Clinic - Interested in becoming a referee? Oro Minor Hockey will be hosting a referee clinic on Sunday October 29th in the Banquet Room upstairs at the Arena. Stay tuned for more details…
