Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) Volunteer Letter: 

This letter is required when you apply for a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.  You must submit the original PVSC in a sealed envelope to your designated convener or our risk management director before you can be rostered.

This is for your convenience - If you can't view the document because of your Adobe browser settings, you can attend at the OPP Detachment and complete the form there. 

Fee:  Free for volunteers
Note:  You must apply for a Police Vulnerable Sector check in the region in which you reside.  If you reside in Oro-Medonte it is the OPP Detachment in ORILLIA.   Do not attend at the detachment; please call first to make an appointment at 705 326-3536.  
***PVCS Print and Fill Form linked above is only valid for Oro Medonte residents attending at the OPP Detachment noted above.  If you are not resident of Oro Medonte, you will need to attend at the police station in your region with the Volunteer Letter linked above and complete their Application form. 

***Due to COVID-19, and the gradual movement through the stages of reopening of Ontario, the OPP is currently experiencing an extremely high volume of police record check requests. In order to effectively meet the demand and process the volume of checks as expeditiously as possible, the OPP is temporarily transferring the criminal record check process back to detachments while an enhanced online central intake and payment model is finalized.

Valid Identification:
When applying, you need two (2) pieces of valid identification, confirming your name, date of birth and address.  One piece of ID must include a photo.  *** Health Card and Social Insurance card will not be accepted as ID*** Acceptable forms of ID are listed here:  pvsc_acceptable_ID

Criminal Offence Declaration - Yearly Requirement With a Valid Police Check On File with Association:
All rostered team staff must execute a Criminal Offence Declaration where there is a valid PVSC on file with the organization that is not more than 3 years old.
