NEW IN FALL 2025 - THUNDER BOLTS PROGRAM
A fun and safe environment for your players' first steps on the ice, Thunder Bolts is designed to build confidence, explore an activity within our community, develop an exciting new skill and most importantly, meet new friends!
It will be coordinated by Charlie Giffin, who is our Director of Development and includes experienced on-ice helpers, all of which are required to have the appropriate Vulnerable Sector Screening documents regulated by the OMHA.
This casual learn-to-skate activity comes with a consistent date and time - starting in October and likely slotting in on Saturdays at 9AM for 10 weeks total - helping kids (and parents) generate a routine to look forward to this fall; depending on how it goes, you then have the option to sign up (or not) for 10 more sessions starting in January to continue the journey.
The program will require full hockey equipment for each player based on OMHA regulations, which includes: jock/jill, shin pads, hockey pants, skates, neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, mouth guard and CSA certified hockey helmet with full cage/facial protection.
The cost of the fall program is $200, which includes 10 ice sessions (50min per session), as well as a pair of hockey socks and an Oro Timbits hockey jersey!
The program is open to all 2020, 2021 and 2022 born skaters.
The ultimate goal is to help these players build friendships, cultivate a passion for the community arena and ideally graduate them into our U7 hockey program with confidence.
