Bantam 1 got off to a great start this weekend with a pair of lopsided wins - 6-2 vs Elmvale and 8-1 over Essa. The barage against Essa was a bit of a surprise as Essa had strong local league entries last season and surrendered very few goals.
For early season games, the team looked fairly well composed with sustained pressure in the attacking zone and reasonable protection around their own cage.
