Atom LL2, 2012-2013 (Oro Thunder Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to the Atom LL2 team who won the GBTLL A Championship Monday night. They defeated a formidable team from Dundalk, who happened to be the only team to beat Oro all year. Oro and Dundalk were only separated by 1 goal in 5 games including the round robin.  In a fantastic final game Oro hung on to win 4-3.  An amazing ending for a very special season.  Thanks to all the parents and fans who came out to support the team!  The coaches are so proud of the kids and their tremendous dedication & effort.  Way to go team!  WoooooHooo!

Congratulations to the Atom LL2 team, who completed the regular season undefeated and finished firmly in 1st place with a record of 19 wins and 1 tie.  An amazing accomplishment for all the kids.  The coaching staff couldn't be prouder of the kids and their commitment to the team and to each other.  Game in and game out we saw improvement in their skating, passing and positioning not to mention the great goaltending!!! Well done Guys and Girls!  And good luck in the playoffs!

It's the end of the calendar year and we are still undefeated!  Wow.  Great job kids!  The coaches are so proud of your efforts.  Hard to believe we only have 3 regular season games remaining before playoffs begin.  The last three games will be against tough divisional rivals.  We also have the Schomberg tournament to look forward to this week. Well we are at the half way point of the season with a record of 9-0-1. What a tremendous game today against Stayner.  The coaches couldn't be prouder of the kids and their effort over the past few games. Go Thunder!

After six games we are 5-0-1.  The team is playing fantastic.  All the kids are putting a great effort out there on the ice.  The coaching staff is most impressed with the overall improvement of the TEAM concept and positioning.  Thanks to the parents for continuing to ensuring the kids are at the practices so they continue to improve.  A special kudos goes out to the kids on Saturday in their 7-0 win over Wasaga.  All the defence played forward and 5 of our forwards played defence.  It gave the kids a chance to learn and appreciate the different positions.  An invaluable lesson that will pay ...
