Oro Thunder Joins Owen Sound Attack
The two Atom Rep teams joined forces as ‘Hockey Fights Cancer’. To show support for Vanessa, an Owen Sound hockey mom with terminal cancer, the two hockey families came together this past weekend at the Oro arena. The players showed solidarity for ‘
Pink Up The Rink’ through a unity of pink hockey tape on their sticks, shin pads and gloves. Pink ‘V’ stickers on all player helmets displayed compassion for Vanessa. Thank you for your generosity of donations, funds from seven Oro gate fees, a fifty/fifty draw, bake sale, ribbons and various stickers. Thank you Atom Rep families for Paying It Forward - it always wins!
