Schedule & Results, Bantam LL1, 2011-2012 (Oro Thunder Minor Hockey)

In one of the more balanced games of the season, Bantam 1 prevailed over Coldwater 2 by a 4-2 score. The team was protecting their zone effectively and it was nice to see some of the practice work on defensive play paying off. But defense was not the only story. The team carried on with their offensive attack, applying continued pressure in the Coldwater zone on many occasions. Both passing plays and individual efforts staked Bantam 1 to a 4-0 lead part-way through the second period. Bantam 1's goalies shared the duties and were sharp, especially with the gloves, in stopping just about all the Coldwater offense could deliver. A couple of goals on very similar plays eventually squeaked by, but the team played conservatively for the balance of the game to come away with yet another victory.
