Novice Rep, 2014-2015 (Oro Thunder Minor Hockey)

Georgian Bay Playoff Series Game 2 – Oro vs. Dundalk Saturday, February 21st 3-1, DUNDALK   The Thunder road trip continued on Saturday into the hills of Dundalk to face the Storm.  The home side has had a great season so the visiting Thunder were expecting a tough match.  

Georgian Bay Playoff Series Game 1 – Oro vs. Wasaga Wednesday, February 18th 7-4, ORO   Our G.B. playoffs would begin with a tough test against Wasaga Beach.  We had not seen Wasaga since the Silver Stick qualifier in November.  The Thunder were fortunate to come away with a hard fought 6-2 victory that day.  The mid-week showdown took place on the road with a late 7:20 p.m. start.

OMHA Quarter Finals – ORO vs. MIDLAND February 9 – 15, 2015   Game 1   The second round opened with the Thunder on the road to face the extremely tough Midland Centennials.  With a strong regular season and one playoff series victory behind us, we still went into this series as the underdog.  The series kicked off ​Monday evening with eleven excited and eager boys.

January 27, 2015 Game 2- Oro vs. Collingwood, 8-2 ORO   Tuesday, January 27th had the Thunder back on the ice for Game 2 of our OMHA series with Collingwood.  Coaches and parents were all curious to see how the team would respond in their first game since the Silver Stick.

January 23-25, 2015 International Silver Stick Tournament St. Clair Shores, MI   This past weekend our Novice Rep team traveled to St. Clair Shores, Michigan to compete in the International Silver Stick tournament.  Our boys played hard, competed intensely and represented Oro Minor Hockey with character and excellent sportsmanship!

Playoff Game #1 Saturday, January 17, 2015 Oro vs. Collingwood, 7-0 ORO   Saturday had the Thunder facing the Blackhawks in a matinee affair at the THUNDERDOME.  The boys were excited and roaring to get their playoff schedule started!

NobleKing Challenge Cup, January 9 – 11   The weekend of January 9 through 11 the Novice Thunder found themselves competing in the Noble King ‘A’ Challenge Cup.  We knew going in this would be an extremely stern test for the team, but felt it would be a great motivator as we headed into our playoff season.
