It's time for the 6th Annual Oro Thunder Golf Tournament in Memory of Jack McCullough. Come out and support a great cause at Settlers Ghost Golf Club, meet other members of the organization and have lots of laughs doing it! Past tournaments have been a resounding success. Oro Minor Hockey has been able to subsidize the cost for local children to play hockey who otherwise would not have been able to do so. On-ice development programs were also provided at no cost to the parents. Oro Minor Hockey was also able to purchase rink dividers to facilitate changes made to on-ice programs with the younger age groups. Understanding there is more to life than hockey, we are excited to announce that a portion of the proceeds will be set aside to help graduating players pursue post-secondary education. The first Jack McCullough Memorial Bursary was awarded in August 2020 to 3 graduating players as chosen by the Bursary Committee. The Bursary is in memory of Jack, a young local boy who loved hockey and lost his life too soon. It is our hope that this Bursary as well as other funds raised from the tournament will help Jack's memory live on.
