Oro and Orillia Minor hockey families will have two opportunities to learn about the proposed
amalgamation as well as vote on the proposal on Nov 20th, 2023 (Orillia) and Nov 22nd, 2023 (Oro)
In order for amalgamation to proceed, members in both centers must vote and the 2/3 majority must support moving forward with a
1 year pilot hybrid amalgamation project for all representative hockey programs.
Local League and House League programs in both centers will not be impacted by amalgamation.
Town Hall Meetings and Amalgamation Vote.
Two town hall information sessions have been scheduled.
Oro Minor Hockey and Orillia Minor Hockey members will vote separately in their home centers.
Each association member will receive one vote and must vote at the arena aligned to the association your player is registered with.
Monday, November 20th at 7:00pm – Rotary Place Meeting Room,
Orillia
Wednesday, November 22nd at 7:00 pm – Oro-Medonte Community Arena Banquet Room,
Oro
We ask all members to submit their questions to be addressed at the meetings.
