Wings Take Flight over Golden Hawks
Oro had their home rematch with Flesherton Golden Hawks on Sunday, leaving a lasting impression with the 12-0 victory

Oro seems to be peaking at the right time,as we have not seen a weekend quite like this one with back to back games of dominance against the best teams in our league.
It was a coming out party for all our wingers,as they have grown so much throughout the season.
It's funny when people say to you "your team has improved so much" as often coaches see it less.
Much like when a relative or friend sees your child after a long absence and remarks, "my how your son or daughter has grown taller"  to which you look and say "really?"
Being immersed closely around them makes it more difficult to discern, so this weekend I paid extra attention to our wingers....and yes, they have.
Skylar is the most noticeable of course, from a young lady who had trouble standing on skates first practice to one that has developed a nice long stride and an ability to battle for loose pucks. Yesterday she was in position for breakouts every time, retrieving passes and long rims to help out the D under pressure and came of so close to another goal. You are learning the game so well Sky,so keep up the great progress.
Mark and Evan have become an excellent combination as their confidence has soared, and it is evident not just on the scoresheet, but in the way they compete and drive the net. Mark owns the crease and banged home another big goal yesterday, and Evan has learned to make heads up passes and his points totals have rocketed with puck sharing.
Mark carries the puck strongly now and Evan has learned to battle harder for loose pucks...both are really emerging into a lethal combo.
King Bochephus  made his triumphant return home to throne and wasted no time joining the party...nailing a hatty(Coach counted 4) and a five point game. I've talked about your improvement many times Bo;Keep working hard...we missed you.
Zack Attack was missing in action yesterday and will be for some time...we'll miss our fallen comrade's presence.
Zack has made big gains this year, especially in his skating,as his hustle and determination have always been there. A nose for the net and some big goals, but with his increased speed he's on the opposing D faster creating important turnovers. Great to see you in the room yesterday, and get well soon Zack-Man,your team will be there with open arms to welcome you back to action.
Edward is who I noticed most this weekend...and he made some exceptional plays.
Saturday it was making tough passes to head man the puck on the fly,and a cross ice seam pass to center that was right on the stick.
Yesterday ,once again, he moved the puck to Jacob on the fly,who hit Bo for a goal...didn't make the scoresheet as often happens by omission, but that goal starts and doesn't happen without you.
You have likely the strongest stick on the team, and when moving with puck towards the goal ,you seem unstoppable.
If you move a little closer to the goalie crease for positioning then the net will be full with your hard release.
Skating is much stronger and can't say enough about how you help lift this team, both on ice and off with your pleasant and happy demeanor.
Pre game Cappy brought our Disney Jug back to make the rounds and the first he wanted to share with was Edward..great choice Jacob.
There were many great contributions yesterday from a seemingly impenetrable D to Fletch's remarkable weekend of 17 points;the vast majority primary assists from great setup after setup. Aidan and Jacob with consistently hard backchecks and big point totals once again.
Owen with back to back shutouts..I could go on and on.
James shared a story that the young lady who scored the goal on Wednesday felt proudest to do it against "the best goalie in the league" and the ref yesterday came to bench mid game asking.."is this AE"? Told him no and he just shook his head."Wow" was all he said.

People have noticed what an excellent team we have become even if we sometimes take it for granted.
No other team passes the puck so well and somehow we have saved the best for last...no small feat with the season to date.
But it's not over and I suspect other teams may have some surprises in store, so we best not let our guard down.
When we make smart ,quick decisions, share and head man the puck appropriately, this team takes flight above all comers.
Congrats Oro on a simply incredible weekend and enjoy your day with family.
