Novice LL Wins C championship in Courtice
The Novice Local league team traveled to Courtice on Sunday March 4th.
In the day long tournament the team played 3 games against 3 different teams from Clarington. Ironically the Clarington teams share the Thunder name with Oro.
In the first game Oro played a strong game, however they came away with a two to one loss to the Green Clarington Thunder. In game two Oro adjusted to the large ice surface and again played well,this time they came away with a three to one victory over the Purple Clarington Thunder.
In the Championship game the Novice Thunder squared up against the Red Clarington Thunder.
The Red Thunder proved to be no match for the Oro Thunder as Oro skated home with a three to two victory.
The Novice team is now preparing for another Tournament in Creemore during the Spring break and are ready for the next playoff round.
