Kevin Mckay Memorial Tyke Tournament-Friday December 28th
Our first tournament of the season was a great one! Oro Tyke Red played well together as a team in this one-day tournament in our home centre. The first game really set the stage for the day and we pulled out a great win against Orillia. Cohen was goalie and he got a shut-out!! The second game was
one of our best played games yet. Owen was in net and each player held their positions well and listened to the coaches feedback from the benches. We even kept our "offside" calls to a minimum! We pulled out another win against Orillia. We advanced to the finals to play our third and final game and played against our very own Oro Tyke Black. We came in second place! YEAH!!! What a fantastic day. Goals were made throughout the day by Devin, Callan, Sam and Owen. It was so great to see the kids enjoying time with each other and the parents getting a chance to socialize too! Hockey is a great sport and it's great to see the kids having fun, no matter if they win or lose. Thanks to the coaching/training staff for a great day and to all the volunteers!
