ORO THUNDER STOOD UP BY HONEYWOOD REFEREE NO SHOW...THE GAME DID NOT HAPPEN...
"Honey, we made it to the zoo...what happened to the zebras ?"

So there we were, sitting in the ditch with the truck rear wheels up in the air and contemplating this horrible drive to an arena in the middle of nowhere. We had left late and we were going to be getting one of the Peewee players to what might be the series final late. Ugh...this drive at this time of year...Truck shifted into 4 wheel drive and we decided to plow through the country side and run the railroad tracks for a bit....

This was going to be one crazy night...the team was pumped...Elmo was cranked on the beat box and the kids were bopping while donning gear. The parents were relaxing after various driving adventures and the coaches were going over special plans and concocting a formula for success. The arena in Honeywood even seemed brighter for some reason...like a play off game was about to unfold like non other. The music was stopped, "mouth guards in...helmets on! pay attention" snapped the Coach. The room was silent as the Coaches weaved their magic.....the players were mentally prepared. And then it happened.....

Have you ever pulled up to a drive thru and been told they had just run out of your favorite food? Stood up for a date with your dream girl or guy? Bought a balloon, only to have it pop  or float away? Well....this was far worse....The neatly manicured ice surface gleamed to spite the players. No one would be skating today.....They had forgotten to book the Refs....(section removed due to strong language)....

Parents loaded the players back into the various cars and SUVs and began the next hour long adventure back through the bad lands of Ontario that would make the Swamp People on the History Channel envious.

Game 4 will take place on home ice: Saturday 2:30 PM Oro Thunder leads the series 2-1

Stay focused Peewee 1, you guys are the best! Go Oro Go!!
