What a difference a day makes
The team experienced a tough loss followed by their best effort of the season.

Saturday night the team travelled to Gravenhurst for their first "home" game of the season.  Unfortunately the team wasn't able to get much going losing 6-3 to the visiting Midland Centennials.  The team was behind early down 1-0 after the first period.  The second period saw a better effort with the teams trading goals.  Owen L.  with a beautiful individual effort, deking out the goalie before tucking in the puck.  Keith G. also scored for Oro, potting a rebound behind the Midland goalie.  Down 3-2 heading into the 3rd Midland put the game out of reach with 3 unanswered goals.  A late marker by Keon S, pulled the team closer but that was the end of the offence.
Sunday saw the team put forth their best effort as they won 4-2, a score that flattered the home team from Elmvale.  All the Oro players were skating hard, playing their positions and supporting each other from the opening whistle to the last buzzer.  Lead by the strong goaltending of Graydon B.  and excellent play of the defence the team had control of the game and were led offensively by the hard working Keon S who continues to play well and opened the scoring for Oro.  Troy V, Alfie B, and Will G had the other goals while Owen L chipped in with 3 assists.
Special mention should go out to the Killer B's line of  Brett G, Ben B, and Blake B.  They played hard and if it weren't for some bad bounces they would have put a few goals on the board.
Coaches and parents look forward to next weekend and more great games from the boys!
