Team Bends but doesn't break!
The boys put in a great effort and held off a hard push from Midland.

The boys continued their strong play and recorded a third consecutive victory on the weekend taking the record to 7-4-1 for the year.  Based on a great game the previous week, the line of Keon S, Blake B and Ben B were given the task of starting the game and setting the tone for the team and they didn't disappoint.
The game was scoreless after one period but Oro carried much of the play and it was only a matter of time before they took the lead.  Sure enough, 1 minute into the second period Troy V, beat the Midland goalie to give the home side the advantage.  Playing like he was possessed by the hockey gods, Troy V added his second of the game with a beautiful individual effort putting a slick move on the Midland goalie before tucking the puck into the empty net.  Before the end of the period it was Blake B adding to the lead.  The line was playing some great hockey and it showed as both Keon S and Ben B contributed with assists.
However, finding themselves down by 3 in the third period Midland put together their strongest push of the game, determined to even the score.  The threw everything at Oro and finally found the net behind Graydon B who also continued his strong play.  Less than a minute later the game was suddenly 3-2.  Feeling the pressure the boys pulled together and led by the strong defensive play of Caelan G, Jordan H, Alfie B, Owen L, and Sam F who had his best game of the season, the team was able to push back.  Troy V completed his second consecutive hatrick with hard work around the Midland net, digging for a rebound and finding an opening.
Midland was a determined group and with less than 2 minutes to go were able to pull within 1 goal again and the pressure was on.  Counting on his great work in the face off circle, Oro looked to  Brett G to win the draw and ensure Midland didn't mount another attack to level the score.  He didn't disappoint, not only did he win the draw he also scored into the empty net to seal the win.
