The players of the Oro Thunder Novice Rep team have shown
great character this month as they embarked on an amazing fundraising
effort! The boys distributed flyers and
went around their neighbourhoods doing a bottle drive. Together, the boys
raised $912.75!
As a team, they decided to donate the money to a very worthwhile cause: Camp Oochigeas.
Camp Oochigeas is a camp for children with cancer. It is privately funded, staffed entirely by volunteers and completely free, thereby dependent on generous donations from the community. This is a camp where every child, no matter how debilitating their illness, is provided an opportunity to explore enriching, challenging, fun experiences.
